The lower limit keeps off the stuff that you really don't like all that much. (Why is it even in your collection? Because you have an obsessive streak about this and your iPod is not yet full. Or you once liked it and think you might like it again under some conditions not currently obtaining, though, frankly, with that Peter Gabriel double live set this argument is getting more and more dubious.
